MISSIONARY DEPARTMENT

Then He said unto His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV

The Missionary Department is anointed and appointed to preach, teach, deliver and heal through the power of the Holy Ghost. Our Missionaries perform hospital visits, sick and shut-in visitation and visiting classrooms in the Sierra Vista School District.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord “

1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)

MUSIC MINISTRY

“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the … instruments of music, … that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God”

II Chronicles 5:13,14

Sierra Vista 1st Church honors our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by committing to a Biblical, yet uniquely COGIC, form of praise and worship.  1st Church hosts spectacular weekly worship services which often offer a combination of worship forms including music, song, dance, and theater. The music style at SV 1st Church is a reflection of the diversity of the church itself.  We play songs that include many different elements like classic, traditional, contemporary and we play them with purpose and excellence.  The goal of our ministry is to create worship experiences where Christ is honored, and hearts are stirred to know and love Him more.

PRAYER MINISTRY

The Sierra Vista 1st Church Prayer Ministry taps into the realm of the Spirit through the avenue of prayer. Directed by Mother Julia McCaa, our purpose is to facilitate the remembrance of God’s Word through prayer. Our primary goal is for each member of the church to receive from God His individual plan for his or her life. We seek out God’s direction concerning our purpose and destiny.

One of the most important things you can do for someone is to pray for them. Our Prayer Ministry department is strictly devoted to praying for our constituents, friends, neighbors, and family. As intercessors and warriors, we commit to ask of the Lord, through prayer, to perform those things which the Word promises us.

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly”

Matthew 6:6

BROTHERHOOD MINISTRY

The mission of the 1st Church Brotherhood Ministry is to promote, encourage, and spiritually strengthen men of Christ and those needing spiritual guidance through fellowship, awareness of moral family values, and the commitment of service to the church and the community.

There are too many young men facing harsh decisions, without the guidance of strong male influence. The West Angeles Brotherhood’s divine purpose is to minister, motivate, and equip young men with strong Christian morale. These lessons will better equip them with the tools necessary to live productive spiritual lives.

It is in this vein that the 1st Church Brotherhood Organization was initiated and, through the leadership of God Almighty, the teachings of His Son Jesus Christ, and the Power of the Holy Ghost that this ministry shall grow and prosper. Under the leadership of Pastor Clea McCaa, the Brotherhood is a strong branch of 1st Church that seeks to produce high-character Men of God that can affect a global society.

Proverbs 27:17 teaches us that as iron sharpens iron, so will a man sharpen the countenance of another.
